ABOUT THE ARTIST

I have always been a Land Rover enthusiast, with an ever growing collection. This collection includes a 1972 ex-military Series III, to a built-from-the-ground-up restomod 110 with a 320hp V8 engine.

My day job sees me working as a designer, artist and photographer. I am a founding partner of Stockholm Design and co-founder of Drive Coffee. At award-winning, Los Angeles-based Stockholm Design Agency, we specialize in artwork and campaigns for the film and television industry. Drive Coffee combines the ritual of coffee drinking with the passion of motoring.

I divide my time between the sub-tropical island of Sanibel in the Gulf of Mexico, the rural island of Gotland in the middle of the Baltic Sea as well as my home-base in Los Angeles, California. It is this island-lifestyle that inspired the name Island Defender.

The Island Defender concept came from my ambition to visualize what my Rover restoration projects would look like. I started doing simple mock-ups, which quickly evolved into full-blown, ultra-detailed concept art, then in turn, I later shared these on social media.

Inevitably my car interest and professional life collided, and I began designing prints from my concept art.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
